A rake-based tool exists to launch a new site using Ansuz on a server
I wrote ansuz_launcher, a very specialized (for now) means of launching ansuz on a server. I will get it up on github and linked more prominently soon. For now, observe the output:
You can download the project, a rake task, really, from github right here. Usage: rake launch[project_name,domain.com]. Leave off the www, use no spaces at all in the command, and you should be good to go. Modify the script to point to more you-appropriate values for directories to host sites from, etc. Any collaboration is welcome :)
Ansuz 0.1.2 tagged. Adds tons of plugins; fixes any rails 2.2 issues we're aware of.
You can find 0.1.2 at the github site under the 'all tags' menu entry.
It works just fine in rails 2.2. It also brings with it tons of new plugins, many of them javascripty-in-nature.
New Page Plugins
- JS-Kit
- Comments
- Reviews
- Polls
- Ratings
- Navigator
- Feed Reader (only works with RSS2 feeds at present, should be rewritten shortly)
- Flickr Set Viewer
- Github Badge
- Twitterati
New experimental / underdeveloped plugins
- Data Dumper (import/export data. Currently just supports mysqldump export only.)
Ansuz article goofery, Rails 2.2, etc.
It has been brought to my attention by Branimir Sloser that Ansuz is mightily broken in 2.2. Guilty. James hopped in and fixed most of it so far, I'm going to bring in a new theme_support fork that claims Rails 2.2 goodness and see how that goes.
We're getting the bugs fixed folks. Hopefully I will tag a version shortly that claims falsely to have fixed all of these problems!
